Christmastime

I want to remember this night. We missed Stephen and Josiah. And Lottie was on my mind, especially seeing all the baby's first Christmas ornaments. But God is so, so good to us. I love my family!

9:00 / 11:00...I know it's embarrassing... / Before 11. I think.

What is the last movie you saw at the cinema?

Voyage of the Dawn Treader / Guardians of the Galaxy! / Thor: Ragnarok-with Johnathan and Anna. I was the adult!!

What is your favorite TV show?
19 Kids and Counting / Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or Downton Abbey :) / Well...there's a lot. I really like The Middle though. :)

What food do you dislike?
mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower / that, and green beans / Yeah, I'm trying to get myself to eat more vegetables, but I don't like a lot of them...

What kind of car do you drive?
I don't drive, but I ride in a ford dark blue 15 passenger van / Now I drive it! / That, but more likely one of our two cars, either a white Chevy Cavalier or a bronze-ish Buick...

Favorite item of clothing?
new dark blue-blackish Arizona jeans / denim leggings-skinny jeans / Hmm, either my navy/white marled sweatshirt or my turquoise-ish slouchy hat

If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
paris / Paris / I would still like to see Paris, but maybe the Alps or New Zealand or Ireland first

Favorite sport to watch?
Baseball / Same, unless it's Olympic Figure Skating :) / Yeah, baseball!! I love being at the ballpark. :)

What is your favorite candy?
reese's peanut butter cups / Reese's Peanut Butter Cups / Same. They're so good. Or M&Ms.

What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to?
may 11 when finals are over / Christmas Eve (!) and the days following. / Whenever I get to see Khyrstyn again!! Any day now...it's been three months.

What are you listening to now?
my little brother talking, no music on now / WBGL; We are the Reason by Avalon / One of my YouTube playlists...at the moment, it's Billy Joel. 

Do you wish on stars?
no way jose / No, but they're pretty to look at! / No. I do love staring at them and getting wistful, though. Haha.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
an elegant purple / A vibrant turquoise! / I don't know. I mean, I really, really love turquoise. But does it scream, Rebekah? I don't know...

The first person you spoke to on the phone today?
nobody, I hate talking on the phone / Haven't talked to anyone yet, but I don't hate it anymore. / Nobody. Thank goodness.

Favorite soft drink?
lemon-lime, root beer gives me stomachaches :( / Dr. Pepper. duh And root beer doesn't give me stomachaches, that's just drinking too much pop at once. :) / DR. PEPPER. I had some today. It was the BOMB. 

What is under your bed? 

waaaaaay tooo much junk / Some things never change... / Weelll, it's better than it's been.

What did you do last night?
went shopping with my family for shower presents / Caroled to neighbors and watched Alias with Mom and others / Watched The Resurrection of Gavin Stone with my family, for Mom's birthday. 

How many years at your current job?
I don't have a job, I'm 13 going on 14 / As a (self-employed) knitting designer, almost 3. :) / As a self-employed knitting designer? Nearly six. At my current babysitting job, a couple months. :)

Favorite day of the week?
sunday or wednesday / Tuesday, if S.H.I.E.L.D. is on. / Hmm. Sundays are nice.

Do you make friends easily?
I'd say yes / Tolerably so / I don't know. I don't always like meeting new people, in all honesty. But it can be fun, too. Haha. I can be so indecisive.

Because I'm sick and lazy, and it's the last day of the month, I'm just going to post a bunch of recent pictures. One of these days I'll actually write a post. (Like highlights of 2017; it's coming up so soon!!)

TEXAS!!!

I did not end up posting much about our Texas trip while we were gone or even after it. And since I needed a topic for my September post, I thought, why not?

Mom, Katherine, and I flew down to Texas in late August to visit Madison. We had an awesome time seeing her haunts and meeting some of her friends. The trip included a lot of firsts for me.

• First flight. (So cool! And thrilling! :)) And security went ridiculously quickly both times. 
• Texas!!!
• Palm trees! That was a surprise coming out of the airport in Houston and seeing palm trees.
• The ocean! Well, the Gulf of Mexico at Galveston. I still want to see more of a "real" ocean sometime, but...
• Saltwater! To swim around and taste it. That was fun and exciting. 
• Whataburger. I'm a fan.
• Cotton candy grapes. Who knew? 
• Blue Bell ice cream. It's the best ever.
• Saw a big snake on a walk. Probably because of this next one...
• Oh yeah, a HURRICANE!!! What a crazy experience. Rain for days straight and then having to fly out of Dallas instead.  (That airport was tiny!) So thankful we were able to get out. 

There's so much more than all that and I didn't get pictures of a lot of things, but here's a glimpse. :)

The one picture I took of Mabs...wow. Good thing she took a bunch!
