I was going to post something yesterday which required some more effort than just sitting on the computer, but I forgot and so I'm going to post some of it today.
Here is my writing assignment from piano. I was supposed to write a story to go along with my recital piece: Rain...and the Rainbow.
Rain...and the Rainbow
by Rebekah E. White
A walk in the forest. The birds whistling. The crunch of leaves underfoot. Sunlight pouring through the openings in the trees, while crickets chirp on fallen logs. Then out of nowhere, you feel a wetness on your cheek. Is it raining? Nothing. There again, you felt it. Are you imagining things? No. Some more sprinkles. And more. Now it is raining. The raindrops fall down your cheeks. The rain pounds harder. It starts to pour. You lift your head to the sky, welcoming the falling rain. Your face is soaked with the crashing raindrops.
Suddenly, the sun breaks through the dark clouds. You come to an opening in the treetops. There in the sky is the most magnificent rainbow. You stare at it for a while, gazing at the glorious reds transitioning into soft purples. Then, admiring the beauty all around, you continue your stroll in the forest.
Maybe tomorrow I'll post a video of me reading it...
dramatically.
