Happy New Year's Eve! Highlights of 2011

I've had a great year and I hope you have too.
 Some great things have happened to me this year:

• Joseph Adam White was born!!!
• Stephen and Johnathan were baptized
• We had a great vacation to New York!
• It's been more than a year since I started my blog
• plus, countless other things

The True Meaning of Christmas

I think it is good to have Christmas on a Sunday. It puts things in the right perspective, and places the emphasis where it is supposed to be. When we go to church on Christmas, or any other day, and worship God, whether it is a Sunday or not, we are celebrating Christmas in the best way we as wretched, sinful people can. God did send Jesus to save us from all of our sins, but first and foremost He did it for His glory. And when we worship Him for it, we are celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.

I just finished the last story on the Parker Family Chronicle and I also posted some pictures of presents at BeKKnits' Creations.

Still working on Christmas presents...

Just posted another installment of a story on the Parker Family Chronicle.

I had a busy weekend. We went to a wedding on Saturday, and then to choir practice that night. The next day I woke up, made some Peanut Butter Balls for the fellowship breakfast at church, left for fellowship breakfast, sang three songs with the choir during the service, and had my piano recital afterwards. So today I took a nap during quiet time...

I can't believe I keep forgetting this:

19 out of 20 presents done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the only one left is a double-knit blanket on size 7 needles for our family. Maybe I should hope I finish it by next Christmas. (Okay, it's not that bad.)

I finished my photo shoot about an hour ago. I'm going to post one picture of my 'stuff holder'. She would have been one of my models, but the samples were to big for her:

She said, "I was glad to be the 'stuff holder' because then I was warm."

I am close to 18 1/2 out of 20 presents!!! Woo-hoo!!!

It has snowed here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has actually snowed, and stuck!!!!!!

And today, hopefully (whoops, improper grammar)* I hope soon, I will be able to take some pictures of knitted designs I've made so I will be closer to publishing them!!!




*Interesting tidbit: Suppose you say, "Hopefully it will snow today." That means that you wish it will snow in a hopeful manner. If instead you mean "I hope it will snow today," you say exactly that.
