Vacation, Day 5

I went to lunch with Mom yesterday for learning to read. :) No, I didn't just learn how to read, I think I finished when I was five. Mom took Mary Ann out and then she realized maybe she should take everyone else out, too. We went to a Mexican restaurant in town, one we had been to with Grandma and Grandpa a couple months ago. I had a chimichanga and Mom and I shared a drink that was pop with an unusual, but delicious flavor. Afterwards, we went to Dave's Dawg's so I could have Superman ice cream, woo-hoo!

This day was also my friend Khyrstyn's birthday and I didn't wish her a happy birthday then, so I will do it now, since I am writing about that day.

That day we went to a state park, ate our packed lunches, and went hiking. It was fun to hike together. Then we started to drive back to Uncle Chuck and Aunt Shirley's house. Johnathan and I rode with Cousin Dale and we stopped in Cooperstown for some ice cream. Johnathan and I both ordered mint chocolate chip, but I ordered a smaller size and Johnathan decided his was too much for him, and traded with me. Now that was a first! We had German food for supper and I'm sure we played at least some Ultimate Frisbee (seeing a theme here?). After most people left, some of us played Pinochle with Uncle Nick, and I can't remember if Aunt Lydia played that night, also, but I do know she played with us at least one night. I love playing Pinochle, and it was a lot of fun with Uncle Nick and Aunt Lydia. Then we went to bed, because it was really late.

Vacation, Day 4

So I decided to get back to vacation-writing, because I am sure there are people out there who want to hear about it, including my grandma :). But first, a belated birthday bulletin (for alliteration):

We had arrived at Uncle Chuck and Aunt Shirley's house the night before. Most of the day was spent in talking, eating and playing a lot of Ultimate Frisbee, which we were all obsessed with and never grew tired of (well some of us did, but, surprisingly not me) that wonderful week in July, and getting to know our family better, even those who we had met before. I can't remember doing much else, it was very relaxed and enjoyable, a great day.

I hope the fact that I'm doing this several months after it happened isn't preventing me from remembering these things, but the next few days have more details that I still remember, it's just this day didn't have as many specific things that we did, mostly just having a TON of fun!!!!!!!

Fall

I love it...it keeps getting colder, and right now I'm smelling freshly baked bread. Mmmm! I love when autumn starts coming, and it gets darker earlier and we get to wear socks and slippers and sweaters, and eat warm meals and I'm so glad it's happening. But I'm sure some people aren't of the same opinion, what about you, are you happy fall's coming??

Maybe I'll never finish posting about vacation, but that doesn't mean it wasn't the best vacation yet. We all had a LOT of fun!!!
But I did want to post anyway. Not having enough time to talk about vacation has kept me from posting anything, and that's sad :`(

I've been doing school, and knitting, a lot. I have half of my Christmas presents done. 10 out of 20. You can see many of them at my crafting blog, Bekknits' Creations.

We're all getting along fine and dandy, except for the fact that Mom has allergies, and Katherine and some other people are a little bit sick.

Mom went to the midwife this morning and she and the baby are both doing well. Also, Mom's muscle separation is not very large at all and the midwife said that it was a miracle. Praise God!!!!!
