It's a Good Day

I've got my schoolwork done for the day. Even though this is the last week (Hoo-ray!!!!!!), it's not that hard.

I'm doing pretty well on a sweater I'm knitting for myself. It is wool, but it's very light and airy, and will be very nice for summer anyway. It's soft as well.

We have been listening to some Civil War webinars every Thursday night for the last few weeks. They are very interesting and a great time to get some knitting done. :)

The time I started this post, which is the time Julia was born, 4 years ago minus 19 days.

I know it's late but I haven't posted yet today, and I can't go to bed for about a half an hour because of some medicine I take. I could follow my Grandpa's advice: Why don't you take it a half-hour before you're supposed to be in bed? Genius!! I still didn't do it today though...

I had a successful shopping trip to the thrift store yesterday, if only it had cost less, but it was a very good deal for what I got: two pairs of dark jean shorts, a pair of bright pink shorts, purple/green/cream plaid shorts, a jean skirt, and a red/pink plaid skirt that I wore today, which I like very much.

Tomorrow we are going to the Baffas to help them with the moving. :'(

Wednesday

It's been a good day so far.

I woke up this morning and had several people who were interested in testing my braided thingamajig  (No that's not the official name for it.)

I finished my school before lunch. Yesterday we did two lessons instead of one so that's even better.

Soon Josiah is going to take me to the thrift store while he goes to the library. I want to get some new shorts and maybe skirts.

Sleep, School, Sharyssa's Showcase

I didn't sleep very well last night-only 4 1/2 hours.

I woke up at 7:40 this morning and then I finished my school before nine. Ever since then, I've been knitting and going on the computer. Plus, I swept and spot-mopped the kitchen.

In 40 minutes (about) Stephen is going to take Katherine and I to pick up Khyrstyn and together we're going to go see Sharyssa's showcase. She took a gym class from Spotlight this spring, and tonight is where she shows her hard work and dedication. :)

High Tea

Grandma White, Grandma B, Mom, Katherine, Anna, Mary Ann, Julia, and I all went to tea at Letty Mae's this afternoon with some ladies from church. It was a lot of fun!

I hadn't been to their new location yet, and it was very cute. The food was delicious, and the company superb. I enjoyed myself immensely.

Early Morning News

OK, so it's not that early, but I don't usually post this early. Contrary to Katherine. (That was her only post that I found that was earlier than this time, but there are several that are at nine or ten in the morning.)

The Garage Sale is going well. I helped a couple hours yesterday, pricing things. The sale hasn't officially started, and I've already blown $2.50, without even the temptation of cute little kids selling things. Though cute clothes and Dr. Pepper are both almost as tempting...I don't regret my purchases one bit; I haven't even worn the clothes once yet, but I have downed the Dr. Pepper. It was tasty...

Joseph Playing

I was doing my school, and Joseph crawled into the schoolroom. He found a little book, so I asked if he wanted me to read it to him. "Yes," he said. So I read it to him, and he really enjoyed picking up the flaps.

Then, I went back to my school, and he found a bag of Scrabble Slam! cards:

He had a pile on one side, and on on the other.

Then he started tidying up the pile.

He's so cute!!

Once he saw me taking pictures, he went back to reading the book, even though I told him it was alright to play with the cards. I had him help me pick them up; he did a great job!

How's It Going?

The school year is wrapping up for me and Josiah. We have only three weeks left; four more "school" Tuesdays. I suppose I should be savoring them; these are my last school days with my big brother Josiah and fantastic friend Sharyssa. Boo-hoo! We're growing up.

I'm looking forward to a crazy fun week[end]:

• We're helping Mrs. Genau with her cancer benefit garage sale.
• Grandma and Grandpa are coming down this weekend for Grandpa's birthday.
• The girls are going to a luncheon at Letty Mae's on Saturday.
• Dad, Mom, and Stephen are playing softball on Saturday as well.
• They are some people getting baptized on Sunday.
• Then there is a good-bye luncheon for the Baffas-talk about boo-hoo-ing :).
• Plus, a piano recital for Josiah and Mary Ann after that.
