Kristian was praying yesterday and thanking God for Thomas the Train, and he went on and on. So when he finished praying Grandt replied, "Dear God, thank you for Thomas the Train," and he giggled. Then Mom rebuked, "Grandt don't mock him." And Kristian said, "Yeah, Grandt stop teasing me."
Which reminded me of another funny thing Kristian said a while ago.
Kristian was mad at Josiah because Josiah wasn't getting him what he wanted. So Stephen started getting after Josiah for it, and then Kristian reproved, "Stephen don't do that, you make me jealous."

I don't really have much to write, but I thought that while I was online I might as well.

Julia is being cute and troublesome as usual. :) Lately she has been finding pens and drawing on papers that are not hers. (She seems to know that she is not supposed to draw on anything but paper).

We are eating supper now, so I need to leave.

Good morning!
I am trying to think of something exciting that happened since I wrote last. While I was writing that sentence I thought of something. House Bill SB-136 has been tabled!!!!!!!!! Everyone in our family except Josiah, Julia, and I, went down to the capitol on Tuesday to protest it. And yes!!!!!!! We won!

I have been working some on a cross stitch project, and on school, but nothing too interesting is happening.

A Terrible Day and Some Comic Relief

So, why is today a terrible day? Well, for school we are learning some about monks, and how they made vows of silence. So for school, one day this week we can't talk. And you guessed right, it's today. The only thing that makes it semi-bearable is I can write and sign (language). But not talking is even worse than not eating. I am NOT going to mention eating biscuits, bacon, and cheese all day. I want to forget that day. But I digress... It's been a terrible day and it's not even noon. Aauugghh! At least, I can write on here.

Well lately, there have been some funny things said (and done) around here, so I thought I would put them on this post for comic relief.

Funny #1:
I was talking about Mrs. Joy, from our church, and I said, "she was like a kid in a candy shop, just full of joy." Then Stephen and I both laughed at the same time and said, 'full of joy. Ha ha!" then we paused for a second and both of us said, "Great minds think alike!" (At the same time, mind you)
"Oh, that's creepy, that's too creepy," Josiah said.
 
Funny #2:
Julia fell by the nightstand. When Stephen asked what hurt her, she pointed to the book, 'Resources for Caring People'.

Funny #3:
Julia was looking at cliff notes for Dante's The Divine Comedy: Inferno, and she drew a question mark after 'Comedy'. I guess she didn't know that in the Roman times a 'comedy' meant that no one died at the end, not that it was funny.

A Food Post

Since one of my favorite things is food, why shouldn't I write about it sometimes?

Mom was having me help her stir her ham pot pie and I knew I needed to take some pictures of it. Neither Mom or I are partial to peas (I am NOT at all partial to them), but we agree it makes it look better altogether. (And you barely taste them, which is good.)

Overall, most of us liked it. Not very many of us like vegetables, so it was amazing that it was mostly eaten up, though it is VERY rich.

For breakfast, Stephen made carrot cake. I call it Pineapple Upside-Down Carrot Cake because it tastes like Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, because it has pineapple and cherries in it. It was very tasty and moist. MMM!

The Blizzard of 2011

Everyone around is talking about 'the blizzard of 2011'. I hope I don't forget about it. It's amazing to see the power of God displayed in all that snow. We lost our power for about two seconds. (Enough to say "WHOA!") But then it went right back on again.
Dad was praying at lunch yesterday (the nice thing about this blizzard is he gets to be home :-) about God's storehouses of snow. "You're dumping a lot," he said. The amount of snow and the lightning (I've never seen lightning in the winter) and the power of the wind is enough to blow your mind (Really, no pun intended). I am glad I get to witness this storm without being afraid of it hurting me. One of the best things about it is we had no co-op yesterday. And since I was sick for a while this week, and still am a little, I didn't get much school done :(.
